HOME HEALTH AIDES:
A person who assists ill, elderly, or disabled persons in the home, carrying out personal care and housekeeping tasks, and provide a friendly companionship.
Requirements: 75 hour Home Health Aide certificate, Alzheimer's training certificate, Domestic Violence certificate, Aids/Osha
certificate, and CPR certification. Required to have 12 hours of inservice education per year.
CNA (CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT):
Provides personal care to residents or patients, such as bathing, dressing, changing linens, transporting and other essential activities.
Requirements: Certificated Nursing Assistant License, Alzheimer's training certificate, Domestic Violence certificate, Aids/Osha certificate, and CPR certification. Required to have 12 hours of inservice education per year.
LPN (LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE):
Individuals have 12 to 24 months of training in anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and practical patient care.
Requirements: They must pass state or national boards and renew their license periodically. Have Alzheimer's certificate and CPR certification.
RN (REGISTERED NURSE):
Health care professional responsible for implementing the practice of nursing through the use of the nursing process in conjunction with other health care professionals.
Requirements: 2 year associates in Nursing degree or a 4 year bachelor in Nursing degree. Must pass the state test and be licensed. Have Alzheimer's certificate and CPR certification.
